My Bose OEs have given up after 4 years, with about a year of that having had a folded post it note putting pressure to keep the connection working.
These have been brilliant but the equivalent Sound True model is £150 which is a bit steep this time of year.
Any recommendations around the £75 mark?
I prefer over ear and have really liked the deep and clear sound of the OEs.

to jump in on this thread on headphone. i want to get some to also use for when i am running.
anyone else have any specific ones for running?
I want to wear them normally then as well and don't want anything that looks ridiculous on and makes me look like a 17 year old unemployed wannabe rapper

I’ve always brought Senhisers noise cancelling ones But found the wires kept breaking.
Was tempted to upgrade to a pair of noice canellaing Bose ones, But got a black Friday deal on a pair of Creative Aurvana noise cancelling ones reduced by a 100 notes.
Arrived today and seem really good. Look a bit of a mong as they are quite Big, but the sound quality is good plus they are blue tooth so no more Un tangling wires in the morning.

Agree with Ray, great sounding headphones but I've never compared with the Bose. They were better than the Beats Solo HD I tried at the same time.

Good. I can't hear anything (unless it is a screaming baby from 2ft on a flight from Bristol to Faro this summer) and given I haven't had any looks, no one can hear me either.

Picked up the Bose AE model from curry's after Sold's suggestion, apparently they are good for leakage which is perfect for the commute, and they'll keep the ears warm!

Bought some cheap ones at a service station as I'd forgotten my phones at home, as soon as I put it on, some cunt behind me on the train gave me a bollocking
Moral of the story is, don't go cheap or don't sit where there are sensitive cunts
